POST 8: A SUBJECT YOU'VE ENJOYED STUDYING THIS SEMESTER
One of the courses I have
enjoyed studying has been a general training course (GTC) called
"Strategic analysis of socio-environmental conflicts. What does the case
of Quintero Bay teach us”. This it’s a course that is being taught by 6
professors from the fields of law and health. Mainly, what we have seen in
class is the analysis of the socio-environmental conflict of Quintero and
Puchuncaví, which has been approached from a transdisciplinary perspective and
visualizing the impacts that pollution has generated on people's health due to
intoxication from industrial pollutants, and also how it has caused damage to
the environment, where we have seen how the community has lost resources to
work due to water pollution by industries, which has seriously affected the
fishing sector.
Environmental issues have
always been of interest to me and learning from this course has been very
rewarding, because it’s important to be able to coexist equally with the
environment and always ensure its protection and care.
