Your Future Job

  Hello everyone. I’m currently studying public administration, it’s a career that has many areas to perform professionally, however, today I’m going to talk about the job I would like to have when I finish university. One of the places where I would like to work is the Ministry of Environment, since I started my career I have always aspired to this place because I would like to work in the area of control and inspection to protect the environment and people's health, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. Although there are environmental pollution regulations in Chile, these are too deficient because these standards are not even close to those established by the World Health Organization (WHO). I imagine this job to be more outdoors, in the field, although I still imagine that I will be working most of the time inside an office doing paperwork. Blog 4: A Meal or Food You Really Like

Hello, my favorite food is pasta that it's a food product that is obtained by preparing a flour dough, mixed with water, to which you can add salt, egg or other ingredients such as vegetables, then this is cooked in boiling water. It can also be accompanied with tomato sauce, pesto, sauces with meats or vegetables, to which you can add ingredients such as cheese or basil, among others. I like this food so much because it tastes and smells so good and we can find a great variety of types of pasta, such as spaghetti, ravioli, macaroni, tortellini, fettuccini, among others. It's also a very good source of energy, providing a good amount of fiber, vitamins and minerals. However, if you lead a sedentary life, a high consumption of pasta it could cause overweight, that is why the ideal is not to consume it more than 4 days a week and it should be accompanied with vegetables.

Blog 2: The Best Concert Ever

One Direction  was a British band that came to Chile in 2010 for a concert.  I remember that 1D was the sensation of the moment and like any influential girl I wanted to feel part of the wave. In that moment, my family was not very well financially, but my mother made an effort to buy me that ticket. I went with my friend Martina: I remember walking many blocks and waiting for hours for sunset to open, all in the rain. When I saw them I realized it was worth it, I sang until my voice was gone and cried when it was all over. Today the band is separated and I still listen to their songs sometimes, my taste in music has changed over the years, but I will always remember the love I had for those British boys and the posters that I had in my room. Blog 1: A country you would like to visit

  Hello everyone! One of the countries I would like to visit is Italy, because I’ve always liked the architecture of its cities like Florence, as well as the art and food of the country. What I know about Italy is that it is a country recognized worldwide for its gastronomy in pasta and pizza. It is also famous for its tourist attractions such as the great canal of Venice, the Colosseum in Rome, the Tower of Pisa, the archaeological parks of Naples, the Arch of Peace in Millan, the islands and paradisiacal beaches, among others. So there are many beautiful places that we can find in this wonderful country. If I could go to Italy, I would like to live in that country for a while, because then I could visit the museums that are located throughout the Italian territory, such as "the Vatican Museums" where you can find works of Renaissance artists or the "Galleria dell'Accademia" in Florence, among others. POST 8: A SUBJECT YOU'VE ENJOYED STUDYING THIS SEMESTER

  One of the courses I have enjoyed studying has been a general training course (GTC) called "Strategic analysis of socio-environmental conflicts. What does the case of Quintero Bay teach us”. This it’s a course that is being taught by 6 professors from the fields of law and health. Mainly, what we have seen in class is the analysis of the socio-environmental conflict of Quintero and Puchuncaví, which has been approached from a transdisciplinary perspective and visualizing the impacts that pollution has generated on people's health due to intoxication from industrial pollutants, and also how it has caused damage to the environment, where we have seen how the community has lost resources to work due to water pollution by industries, which has seriously affected the fishing sector.   The public administration career is very important to make the world a better place because it’s responsible for coordinating the relationship between the state and citizens to contribute to the common welfare of citizens. This relationship can be given through public services. It’s also responsible for managing state resources to provide quality services to citizens through public policies to meet the needs of citizens in areas related to health, education, security, environment, among others. In the future, I see myself working properly to be able to help people and contribute to the common welfare of citizens, working together with my future colleagues to create public policies and to be able to solve the daily problems that arise to the residents of the country, taking care of their welfare.

POST 5: A PHOTOGRAPH AND ITS STORY

  I like this picture a lot. It was taken in the Santa Lucia hill in 2019 before the pandemic started. At that time my friends and I liked to go out to walk around several places in Santiago, it was a nice day to remember, there was a lot of laughter and many funny moments. When we got to the top of the hill we asked a young woman if she could take a picture of all of us together and she kindly accepted, however, in the other picture you can see her boyfriend unexpectedly appearing into the picture, which was very funny at that time. I chose these photographs because through it I could remember a nice moment lived with my friends, which has become very complicated now because of the pandemic. However, when the pandemic is over I hope to walk around Santiago with them again.
